TERMS OF USE
Clear rules.
Responsible technology.
These terms govern the RunWithIT website, member accounts, platforms and AI-enabled services. They are designed to support useful innovation while protecting people, creators and organisations.
Version 1.1 · Last updated 23 September 2026.
1. Operator, scope and acceptance
The operator is K2022711569 (SOUTH AFRICA), registration number 2022/711569/07, a South African private company trading as RunWithIT ("RunWithIT", "we", "us" or "our"). Our registered address is 970 Waxberry Avenue, Weltevreden Park, Gauteng, 1709, South Africa.
These Terms apply to runwithit.io, member accounts, ConneX AI, ConneX Library, media and creative tools, demonstrations, enquiries, and any other RunWithIT service that links to them (together, the "Services"). A product, quotation, statement of work, subscription, licence, data-processing agreement or other written agreement may contain additional terms. Those specific terms take priority for their subject matter. A separately operated product may have its own terms.
ConneX AI currently includes chat and writing, image creation and editing, audio transcription, synthetic voiceover, document and research assistance, coding assistance, and video generation, image-to-video, editing and extension. ConneX Library may make approved media, documents and creative resources available under the licence shown for the relevant item. Availability, models and feature names may change.
By creating an account, expressly accepting these Terms or using an account-only Service, you agree to them. Public browsing does not create a paid contract. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it. You must be at least 18, or use the Services with the involvement and lawful consent of a parent or guardian where the relevant Service permits this. Rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude remain protected.
2. Accounts, access and security
Keep account credentials confidential, provide accurate registration information and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. Access may be assigned by an organisation administrator and limited by platform, feature, quota, region or role. You may not sell, transfer or share access outside the authorised users.
We may apply reasonable security, safety and rate controls. Do not bypass them, probe non-public systems, scrape at scale, extract models or prompts, introduce malware, interfere with availability, or test security without our prior written permission. Report suspected vulnerabilities to support@runwithit.io.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the Services only lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality or other rights;
- harass, threaten, exploit or discriminate against anyone, or create unlawful hateful content;
- facilitate fraud, phishing, identity theft, cybercrime, malicious code or unauthorised access;
- create or distribute non-consensual intimate content, sexual content involving minors, or material that exploits or endangers a child;
- misrepresent AI output as verified fact, professional advice, authentic evidence or a real person's statement;
- circumvent safeguards, conceal prohibited conduct or use outputs to evade legal or regulatory obligations; or
- use the Services in a way that could unlawfully harm people, property, public safety or democratic processes;
- use manipulative or subliminal techniques, exploit a person's age, disability or vulnerability, or apply unlawful social scoring;
- create or use biometric categorisation to infer sensitive characteristics, compile facial-recognition databases through untargeted scraping, or use real-time remote biometric identification where prohibited; or
- infer emotions in a workplace or educational setting except where a lawful medical or safety use has been formally approved.
4. AI outputs, synthetic characters and deepfakes
AI-generated results are probabilistic and may vary even when prompts are similar. We do not guarantee factual accuracy, originality, availability, copyright protection, non-infringement or fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for human review, testing, rights clearance, lawful disclosure and the way an output is used.
Synthetic characters are used in some RunWithIT videos, images and demonstrations. They may look or sound realistic but are created for illustrative and creative purposes. You must not use our Services to create a deepfake or other deceptive synthetic media: this includes making a real person appear to say, do or endorse something they did not, or using a person's face, body, likeness or voice without their explicit, informed and documented permission or another valid legal basis. Parody, satire and fictional work must still be lawful, non-deceptive in context and appropriately labelled where a reasonable viewer could otherwise be misled.
We may refuse a prompt, block an upload or output, remove content, preserve relevant records, restrict access or report conduct where reasonably necessary for safety, security, compliance or the protection of rights. Automated safety checks are not a guarantee that content is lawful or suitable.
Where a Service tells you that you are interacting with AI, or marks an output as generated or manipulated, you must not remove or conceal that notice in a misleading way. Where technically feasible, we may attach visible labels or machine-readable provenance to synthetic image, audio and video outputs. You remain responsible for clear disclosure when content could reasonably be mistaken for authentic footage, a real person's speech or a real event.
5. Media, voice, transcription and recordings
Before uploading or processing an image, video, recording, voice or likeness, you must have all permissions and lawful grounds required from the people concerned and from the rights holders. Do not clone or imitate a real person's voice without explicit authority. You are responsible for notices and consents required when recording or transcribing a conversation, meeting or call.
Preview media and library assets are for evaluation unless a download or separate licence expressly permits wider use. Possession of a file does not by itself grant commercial, broadcast, resale, sublicensing, model-training or exclusivity rights. The applicable licence must identify the asset and permitted channels, territory, duration, editing and attribution.
6. Prompts, uploads and other content you provide
You retain the rights you already hold in your prompts, uploads and other content. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide it and instruct us to process it. You grant RunWithIT and its contracted service providers a limited permission to host, copy, transmit, transform and process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support and comply with the law in relation to the Services, as described in our Privacy Notice and any applicable service agreement.
Do not submit passwords, private keys, payment-card data, trade secrets, highly confidential information, children's personal information or special personal information unless a secure, authorised process and any required data-processing terms are in place. We do not obtain a general right to sell or publish your content, and these Terms do not authorise its use for model training unless that use is separately and clearly agreed.
7. Generated output and intellectual property
Subject to applicable law, third-party rights, provider terms and any separate agreement, you may use outputs made available for download through your account for the purpose for which they were generated. Outputs may not be unique and another user may receive similar material. You must check for third-party rights, required attribution and suitability before publication or commercial use.
The Services, website design, software, branding, documentation, compilations and content supplied by RunWithIT or its licensors remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Except for the limited access expressly granted, no ownership, source-code, model, non-public prompt, trade mark or other right is transferred to you.
8. Coding, documents and research
Coding output is not automatically executed, tested, secure, production-ready or free of third-party licence obligations. A suitably qualified person must review, test and secure it before use. Document and research output may contain fabricated or incorrect facts and citations. Verify it against reliable sources. No output is legal, medical, financial, employment, safety-critical or other professional advice.
9. Third-party models and services
Some features rely on cloud hosts, model providers, payment services, communications services or other third parties. Their technology, availability, safety controls and terms may affect the Services. We may replace a provider or model where reasonably necessary. A third-party interruption does not remove rights you have under mandatory law or an agreed service level.
At the date of this version, our stack may use Microsoft Azure hosting, Azure Foundry and Azure AI services for text, code, image, transcription and voice workflows, and Google AI services for certain video workflows. A feature may send the prompt, uploaded source, generated output and limited request metadata to the configured provider. Provider-specific processing, location and retention are described in our Privacy Notice, the relevant service agreement and, where applicable, a data-processing agreement. Do not assume that every feature uses the same model or provider.
RunWithIT provides general-purpose creative and productivity tools, not an approved system for recruitment, credit, insurance, education admission, law enforcement, biometric identification, essential public services, medical diagnosis or another high-impact decision. Such a use requires our prior written approval, a documented risk classification, appropriate human oversight, testing and any conformity, registration or impact-assessment steps required by applicable law.
10. Fees, orders and cancellations
Public website browsing is free, but subscriptions, licences and professional work may be charged under an accepted order or separate agreement. Before an electronic paid transaction, the applicable supplier information, total price, taxes, performance arrangements, recurring charges and cancellation or refund terms will be disclosed where required. These Terms do not impose a blanket no-refunds rule and do not limit rights available under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
11. Privacy and personal information
Our Privacy Notice explains how we process personal information. These Terms do not amount to blanket consent for marketing, tracking, model training or the processing of personal information. If you use the Services to process information about other people, you are responsible for having a lawful basis, giving required notices and complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Where we act as an operator for an organisation, appropriate written processing terms may be required.
12. Availability, changes and beta features
We take reasonable steps to operate the Services securely and reliably, but free, preview or beta features may change, be unavailable or be withdrawn. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation unless a separate agreement says so. Material changes to a paid Service remain subject to that agreement and applicable law.
13. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access on reasonable grounds, including material breach, unlawful content, non-payment, security risk, abuse or a legal requirement. Where practicable, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. You may ask us to review a restriction. Ending account access does not erase accrued rights, lawful records or obligations intended to continue. Paid-service termination and data export are governed by the relevant agreement.
14. Responsibility and limits of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, unlawful processing of personal information, or any liability or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that protection, free information, previews and AI outputs are supplied for preliminary use and evaluation. For business use to which the Consumer Protection Act does not apply, RunWithIT is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from free access or use. Any liability cap for paid work must be stated in the applicable separate agreement; these Terms do not create an automatic monetary cap.
A business user outside Consumer Protection Act protection must reimburse reasonable, proven loss and defence costs arising from a third-party claim only to the extent caused by that user's fraud, wilful unlawful misuse or knowing infringement through content it supplies. This does not cover loss caused by RunWithIT's conduct, breach or negligence. We will give prompt notice and reasonable participation in the defence, and will not settle by admitting your liability without your prior written consent.
15. South African law and complaints
South African law governs these Terms, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. South African courts with jurisdiction may determine disputes. No mandatory arbitration or waiver of a consumer's lawful forum is imposed. The parties should first try in good faith to resolve a complaint, but this does not prevent urgent relief or an approach to the National Consumer Commission, Information Regulator, competent ombud or court.
16. Changes to these Terms
We will identify updates by date or version and give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable. We will request fresh acceptance where required. A new version does not retrospectively amend an existing paid agreement, licence, non-disclosure agreement or accrued right.
17. General
If a provision is invalid, it is ineffective only to the extent necessary and the remainder continues where legally possible. Delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. Use of the Services does not create a partnership, agency or employment relationship. Headings assist navigation only. A separate agreement takes priority for its subject matter, subject to mandatory law.
18. Contact
Send questions, complaints or legal notices to support@runwithit.io, marked “Terms” or “Legal notice” where appropriate. You may also write to RunWithIT at 970 Waxberry Avenue, Weltevreden Park, Gauteng, 1709, South Africa.
